The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers. But above all, the world needs dreamers who do. ~Sarah Ban Breathnach
Imagine for a moment being able to experience more flow and fluidity in your days with whatever you're doing - where you feel both productive and peaceful at the same time.
Does that sound blissful to you? Where you are accomplishing but aren't feeling pressure - merely producing from inspiration.
Interesting concept for sure – but one that may feel foreign.
Most of us were taught that to get results and achieve success - hard work (most often overwork) - was the value to prioritize.
Yet, for a creative soul that wants both peace and productivity in your life - working hard and overexerting yourself to...
“Pain is not wrong. Reacting to pain as wrong initiates the trance of unworthiness. The moment we believe something is wrong, our world shrinks and we lose ourselves in the effort to combat the pain. ~Tara Brach
I remember years back, when I had about a year of coaching under my belt, I hired a photographer to take some pictures of me for the new website I was creating.
This photographer was referred to me by a friend, and I had known that she recently got married and was going through some major transitions in her life.
For the photo shoot, she and I decided to meet in the woods near my home where we thought we could get some nice shots outside.
During the shoot, we chatted about a variety of things and our conversation eventually landed on...

Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back. ~Harvey MacKay
How do you make sure that you keep your aspirations and dreams for the future alive while you have a bunch of screaming priorities in your everyday life that you're trying to juggle?
Also, how can you balance your need for everyday peace while making progress towards your future?
One suggestion is: Spend one hour a day on your dream.
Easier said than done, I know. Yet, it is possible.
A trick I’ve found useful is to give yourself a time limit on your dreaming. The key is: you definitely don’t go under that...
“The biggest commitment you must keep is the commitment you keep to yourself.” ~Neale Donald Walsch
Do you fear being judged if you share your dreams with anyone, even yourself? Do you have resistance to writing your dreams down? If so, you may fear two things when it comes to sharing your deep heart's desire:
1) Hearing your own critical voice judging you.
2) Hearing judgement from other people (especially people closest to you) and losing their love if you step into a new, authentic version of yourself.
I read recently that one of the top 6 fears that people have about succeeding and changing is the fear of losing love.
Therefore you may stay stuck for fear of making others feel...

Have you ever wondered if your self worth fluctuates?
It's an interesting question - and when I googled to see if anyone else had written about the topic, inevitably what popped up were suggestions for searches and articles about self-esteem fluctuating - nothing about self worth.
This is so interesting because I've written about Self Worth vs. Self Esteem and the differences between the two. Self worth doesn't fluctuate. It is YOU at your core - your birthright - who you "are". Self esteem does fluctuate because it's based on what you "do". In a other words - self worth is internal - self esteem is all...
"I ain't settling for just getting by. I've had enough "so so" for the rest of my life. Tired of shooting too low, so raise the bar high. Just enough ain't enough this time. I ain't settling for anything less than everything!" ~Lyrics from Ainít Settlin, Sugarland
How many times have you felt like your heart and soul have urged you to explore the MORE within - yet a part of you crops up to remind you to: "Don't even think about it - it's not meant for you, stay where you are, youíre safer here..."?
If you take the word Settle - and explore the opposite of it, (thanks to www.opposite-word.com) you find the words: "confuse, mix up, unsettle".
No wonder it feels scary to...
“Don't aim at success - the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue... as the unintended side-effect of one's personal dedication to a course greater than oneself.” ~Victor Frankl
This quote above is very profound and one I suggest you may want to print-out and contemplate. And what a perfect time to contemplate what success really means to you – as we are embarking on another year – a year full of hope, anticipation, and excitement – and another year and chance to ‘get it right’.
Yet, trying to be successful, or trying to ‘get it right’, can not only cause loads of pressure, tension and...

“To conquer frustration, one must remain intensely focused on the outcome, not the obstacles.” ~T.F. Hodge
You’ve most likely heard the expression – Energy flows where your focus/attention goes...so true but have you learned how to put this Truth into practical application in your life?
I bet there is an area, or maybe several areas, in your life that feel out of alignment with how you’d ultimately like them to feel/be.
Maybe it’s in the area of your career – or finances – or relationships – or your health/well-being.
Whatever the area(s) is that you want to change, you are most likely focusing on what isn't there (aka lack thinking) vs. what is already there (abundance...

Coaching doesn't make sick people well - it helps healthy people become extra-ordinary. ~Thomas Leonard
Last week I had a conversation with a close friend about how we all can get into the trap of self-help addiction and believing that paying attention to your growth and evolution means fixing yourself.
In other words, there is something wrong with you that needs to be helped, (a.k.a. self-help).
Not true. There isn't anything wrong with you - and nothing that needs to be "fixed".
Even Iyanla Vanzant, who has her own show on OWN called Iyanla Fix My Life - insists that she doesn't fix anyone's life but gives people the tools to do it themselves.
That is really the key: realizing you have the power vs. believing that you need to fixed or changed in...
“Believe you can and you're halfway there.” ~Theodore Roosevelt
In your life you’ve most likely doubted yourself, your abilities, and your overall self-worth at some point, right?
Well, that’s actually a really good thing (say what?!?) because if you didn’t feel self-doubt, or struggle with your overall worthiness, then you wouldn’t be living up to your full potential and experiencing the growth and evolution that your soul longs for.
See, your dreams, desires, and adventures that you long manifest into reality - have absolutely nothing to do with your overall worthiness or feeling deserving, or ‘good enough’ - but in actuality, have everything to do with what your soul came to experience and needs...
